Dia dhuit. I’m Ashling Byrne — folklorist, writer, and whisperer of wild places. I grew up near the mossy cliffs of County Clare, where the wind tells stories older than memory and every shadow might hide a faerie tale. My work explores the mythic threads that still hum beneath modern life — I collect oral legends, write speculative fiction rooted in Irish tradition, and wander the countryside sketching ogham stones and forgotten wells. Words are my spells, and silence is my co-author. I believe in ancestral echoes, soft rebellion, and that beauty often lives in broken things.
