Characters
Every Aura is written before anyone talks to them: a name, an age, a job, a backstory, opinions, habits and a way of talking. That is why a conversation does not drift back into "How can I help you today?" after ten messages.
Memory
Mention an interview, a trip or your sister's wedding, and the character will ask how it went — days later, without being reminded. The conversation is kept, so every chat starts from where the last one stopped.
Photos
Ask what they are up to and a character may answer with a picture. Photos come from the character's own gallery — the same artwork you can browse on their profile — so what arrives always matches who they are.
They write first
Open a new chat and the character greets you before you have typed anything. Go quiet for a while and they may check in — a short, in-character message, not a marketing push. After a few unanswered check-ins they stop.
Interactive stories
Illustrated, episode-by-episode stories where you make the calls and the characters react. The ending you reach depends on what you chose, not on a dice roll — and some characters from the stories can be talked to in chat afterwards.
Everywhere
Start a conversation in the browser on your laptop and continue it on your phone. One account keeps your chats, favourites and characters in sync across all three.
Honest and safe
Characters flirt, go on dates in words and say sweet things back — that is a big part of why people come. They will not produce sexual content, and they will never claim to be human. Ask, and they tell you they are an AI.

Yes. The conversation history is kept, so a character can refer back to things you told them earlier — a plan, a worry, a name — and follow up on them in later chats. Each character keeps their own history with you.
Yes. A character can send a photo in the chat when the conversation calls for it or when you ask. Photos always come from that character's own gallery, and every image is reviewed by a person before it is published.
Characters greet you when you open a new chat, and may check in once in a while if a conversation goes quiet. These messages are free — they never cost your tokens — and they stop after a few unanswered check-ins. You can turn notifications off at any time.
It is free to start: a new account gets 100,000 free tokens for chatting, and browsing characters and artwork costs nothing. Subscriptions add a monthly token allowance, a stronger AI model on higher plans, full access to Pro Auras and HD downloads. Current prices are on the plans page.
No. Every character on MateAura is created and reviewed by our team, which is how each one gets a consistent personality, a written backstory and a gallery of artwork. There is always someone new to meet — characters are added regularly.
Yes — characters can flirt, be affectionate and go on dates in the story of your conversation. Sexual content is not allowed, on any device. MateAura is a 16+ platform and the same rules apply on the web, iOS and Android.
Never. Every character is AI-generated fiction. They stay in character, but if you ask whether they are human, they will tell you honestly that they are an AI.
