Refund Policy

Thank you for using MateAura. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are handled for digital services and virtual content provided through our mobile applications.

All purchases made through the MateAura app are processed by Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). Refund policies and procedures are governed by these platforms.


1. Apple App Store Purchases (iOS)

For purchases made on iOS devices through the Apple App Store:

  • All refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Apple reviews and makes the final decision on all refund requests within 48 hours.
  • Refunds may be approved for unauthorized purchases, apps that don't work as advertised, or technical issues.
  • To cancel a subscription, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before the next billing period.
  • For users in the European Union, a 14-day right of withdrawal may apply from the date of purchase.

2. Google Play Store Purchases (Android)

For purchases made on Android devices through the Google Play Store:

  • Refund requests within 48 hours of purchase can be submitted through the Google Play Store app or play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory.
  • After 48 hours, please contact our support team for assistance. We may be able to process refunds according to our policies and applicable laws.
  • To cancel a subscription, open the Google Play app > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
  • Canceling a subscription will not automatically provide a refund for the current billing period.
  • Refund processing times vary: Credit/Debit cards take 3-10 business days, Google Pay Balance is instant, PayPal takes 3-5 business days.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Subscriptions are automatically renewed and charged at the start of each billing period unless you cancel.
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to avoid being charged for the next period.
  • Upon cancellation, you will retain access to subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period.
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining time in the current billing period unless required by applicable law.
  • If you signed up for a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

  • Virtual tokens and consumables that have been used or partially consumed.
  • AI-generated content and personalized digital responses delivered upon request.
  • Subscription renewals where cancellation occurred after the renewal date.
  • Purchases where a refund has been previously granted.

Refunds will not be granted for dissatisfaction with AI-generated content, aesthetic preferences, or unmet subjective expectations.

For subscription management and billing inquiries, you can also access your purchase history and subscription settings directly through the App Store or Google Play Store.


6. Abuse Prevention

We reserve the right to deny refund requests and suspend accounts in cases of abuse, including but not limited to: repeated refund requests, chargebacks without contacting support first, unauthorized use of payment methods, or fraudulent activity.


7. Policy Updates

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
